New start
I’m a control freak. There, I said it. For a couple of years now I’ve used Blogger as my primary blog provider, but I’ve now decided to once again roll my own blog. I like to have complete control of every aspect of the things I publish online, everything from the web design to the database. So, I’ve moved my Blogger blog to a Wordpress blog at my VPS hosted at The Planet in Dallas, TX. I think the migration went OK; feed subscribers won’t notice a thing thanks to Feedburner and browser users should get redirected to the correct blog post thanks to some fancy scripting.
The only caveat right now is mobile blogging. Blogged pictures still go to the Blogger blog and I’m working on a continuous synchronization of those to this blog. Or I’ll just post them directly to this blog. Anywho, somehow I’ll make sure those pictures keep coming…
